Vacation: Day Four

Today Peter, Laura, Kaylee and I hopped in the car and headed up north towards Gettysburg, Pennsylvania where Boyd's Bear Country is.

This is Kaylee getting ready for the day. I thought this was such a good picture of her. Don't you love the new overalls I got her!?!?

Boyd's Bear Country is a large barn with four stories of fun. Each floor is full of bears and other fun adventures. There are Holiday bears, bears dressed in costumes as Firemen, lady bugs, birthday hats, bears decorated in costumes from the Civil War (even an Abe Lincoln bear). There is even a place where you can build your own Boyd's Bear and dress it up.

There were lots of places for us to take pictures! This was taken of me and Kaylee by the entrance with a HUGE stuffed bear!

Laura, Peter & Kaylee had fun playing with the Sesame Street puppets.

Our next stop found us at Friendly's. Friendly's is a family friendly restaurant that serves my favorite ice cream sundae because their peanut butter sauce is the best.

See! it's gooooooooood stuff!

Kaylee had a lot of fun playing on and around and under the table.

Next we drove up north a little further to Hershey, Pennsylvania. We went to Chocolate World and enjoyed a tour on how they made chocolate. Kaylee enjoyed this so much she made us do it twice.

Afterwards we had fun looking around the shops.

We even were able to meet the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Don't I look thrilled!?!? ;o)

On the way home we made one more stop at Roy Rogers. This is one of those places that Laura enjoys eating at. And when that girl gets a craving you just have to stop and take care of it.

It was a fun day and it was so much fun to see how excited Kaylee got over the Bear Store and the Chocolate store. Besides who can go wrong with Bears and Chocolate? Not me!

  2. Aren't I a lucky girl? Peter & Laura have been great. Today is a rest day but I think we are going to hit a few more places in DC and maybe do some family pictures of Peter and Laura.
